Description
St. Genevieve Parish Schools is seeking a dynamic and creative Director to lead our combined Elementary and High School spring musical production. This is an exciting opportunity to foster collaboration between students of all ages and inspire a love for the performing arts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a creative vision for the production.
- Lead and organize auditions for all students, with an expected audition period in December/January.
- Conduct rehearsals for the full cast, providing constructive feedback on acting, stage presence, and character development.
- Collaborate with music staff, choreographers, and designers to create a cohesive production.
- Oversee all aspects of staging, including blocking, set design, and lighting.
- Manage the production schedule, ensuring all deadlines are met for a successful performance in April.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Proven experience directing musical theater or dramatic productions.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of students, from elementary school beginners to experienced high school performers.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience with and a passion for engaging students in the performing arts.
Compensation:
- Stipend for this extracurricular position is negotiable based on experience.

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
