Description
Corpus Christi School is seeking a full-time Middle School Science and Math Teacher (Grades 6-8) for the 2023-2024 School Year. This teacher will be responsible for lesson planning, curriculum implementation, instruction, and overall classroom management. Applicant must communicate and collaborate well with administration, faculty and staff, and parents and students. In addition, this candidate must exhibit a passion for both curriculum areas. The ideal candidate should possess a solid understanding of and proficiency in the use of technology, i.e. a SmartBoard, ChromeBooks for students, and educational applications such as Google Classroom. Requirements
For this full-time position candidates need:
– a solid grasp of Middle School (Grades 6-8) common core-subject content standards and NGSS science standards
– ability to create hands-on Science labs for students
– actual previous experience as a full-time classroom teacher
-to be able to work collaboratively with colleagues
-previous experience with Math and Science curriculum development and student assessment
-supportive of our Catholic/Christian philosophy
-a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university: and ideally
– a teaching credential from an accredited university

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
