● Instruct through lectures, discussions, and demonstrations using a variety of methodologies.
● Capable of conducting classes virtually using Zoom technology.
● Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicate those objectives to students.
● Prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments to evaluate students’ progress and return to them in a timely manner.
● Provide opportunities when needed for individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each pupil.
● Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students’ varying needs and interests.
● Maintain accurate and complete student records, update counselors with student progress, and adhere to administrative requests for progress reports.
● Update the Google Classroom site on a regular basis and use it, Smartboard, TI-Nspire Calculators, Desmos, and others, to supplement presentations.
● Observe and evaluate students’ performance, behavior, social development, and physical health and communicate with academic counselors and administrators in order to resolve students’ behavioral and academic problems.
● Communicate issues with the appropriate administrator.
● Establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior needed to provide an orderly, safe, and productive classroom environment.
● Communicate with parents and guardians to discuss their children’s progress, and to determine their priorities for their children and their resource needs and respond promptly to any parent communication.
● Provide information toDepartment Chair, co-workers, and administrators by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person as well as respond to emails in a prompt manner.
● Perform day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork.

● Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics or STEM field.
● At least 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in an independent school.
● Experience with technology.
