The St. Agnes School FAMILY is looking for an outstanding substitute for our third grade teacher for her upcoming maternity leave (March 31 – June 14).

Our ideal candidate will be motivated, enthusiastic and team oriented. S/he will respond to students reasonably and with loving kindness, supplement materials to improve curriculum, use data to improve instruction, demonstrate flexibility with planning, and communicate effectively with parents/guardians proactively and on a regular basis.
We are a 1:1 iPad school and our teachers provide quality educational experiences. Our third grade class is self-contained, where the teacher directs all subjects, including religion and ancillary classes.
Requirements
REQUIRED CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:
• California state substitute teacher permit or other state certification equivalent.
• Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate with parents/guardians on a regular basis.
• Technologically proficient (experience with iPads, Zoom, Class Dojo, Google Classroom, Seesaw, and distance learning preferred)
• Previous teaching or substitute experience preferred, with demonstrated experience creating lesson plans
• Experience with Core Instructional Practices preferred
• Knowledge of California Content Standards and Archdiocese of L.A. religion standards
• Practicing Catholic in good standing in the Church
• Other requirements as designated by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and St. Agnes Church

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
