Long-Term Sub (3rd Grade)
The long-term Third Grade sub will be responsible to cover the Third Grade class throughout our Third Grade teacher’s maternity leave. The term of employment is approximate and will most likely be August 1, 2022 – December 9, 2022.
Reports to: Principal
Start Date: August 1, 2022
Responsibilities
• Plan for, teach, monitor, assess, and make accommodations for the spiritual, moral, physical, emotional, and academic development of the children of St. Joseph School
• Maintain a professional, cooperative and respectful relationship with all members of the St. Joseph community
• Establish and maintain effective classroom management
• Be present in school and available for all assigned duties from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday of the school year
• Supervise during specified student breaks (recess or lunch) Mass and assemblies
• Submit Lesson plans electronically via PlanBook by 8 am the first day of every week
• Maintain accurate attendance records
• Attend all faculty meetings, in-service days, retreat days, Parent-Teacher Conferences, Back to School Night and other after school events when requested by the Principal
• Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Valid teaching credential preferred (we will work with you) 🙂
Qualifications & Experience
• Previous teaching in a Catholic school is highly preferred
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19

• Excellent interpersonal, writing and communication skills
