Description
The ideal candidate for a Kindergarten Teacher will be an empathetic and caring individual that will create a safe and supporting faith-based learning environment. The teacher will be required to develop innovative lessons and a differentiated learning environment in alignment with the state and diocesan standards. This curriculum emphasizes basic numeracy and literacy skills. The curriculum also includes exploring the concept of Science through the use of multi-sensory activities. Social Studies enlightens them about their surrounding environments and being good citizens. The teacher will be expected to teach religion by following the ADLA standards and actively living their faith. The teacher will also support their social and emotional growth by encouraging their students through positive reinforcement and teaching them the skills needed to be confident and caring for others. You may use a variety of instructional methods to engage students at this age, including songs, stories, games, and outdoor activities.
Requirements
Kindergarten Teacher Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a closely related field
State teaching credential
Experience as a kindergarten teacher or assistant (at least 2 years preferred)
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to manage a classroom of young students
CPR and first aide certified

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
