Our Lady of Grace School is seeking a highly qualified, dynamic, and professional STEM & Tech Director who has an admirable commitment to academic excellence and to Catholic education. The position is full time and will include working alongside a talented team of faculty and staff. The candidate must be a team player who is willing to collaborate with other teachers to continually enhance our academic program and work to engage students with dynamic and challenging lessons.
The K – 8 STEM curriculum and lessons will be developed around and with Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). Lessons must be project-based and engage students in real-life, hands-on projects aligned with NGSS.
The Tech component of this position involves procuring, setting up, and managing the K – 8, one-to-one iPad program and computer lab at the school. The Tech Director works collaboratively with all faculty and staff in researching and organizing iPad apps for each grade level within the school’s Device Management System. The Tech Director manages STAR and apps for the school.
* A lived Catholic faith
* A California credential and/or a Masters in Education (or related field)
* A professional, positive, and engaging demeanor
* Very well versed in the use of educational technology
* Very well versed in use of Adobe, Azure, Google for Education, and Google Classroom
* At least 3 years of teaching experience in Catholic schools
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
