Description

Bishop Montgomery High School is seeking an outgoing and creative leader with an innovative mindset to serve as Interim Director of Community Outreach and Marketing for the 2022-2023 school year. This position may lead to a permanent position for the 2023-2024 school year. This position is responsible for the strategic recruitment and enrollment of mission-centered students through the execution of a data-driven marketing and recruitment plan; leadership of Admissions, admission programs, events, and outreach; and development of networking relationships in the school community, with a broad understanding of the competitive marketplace for Catholic schools, private and public schools. Key responsibilities include leading and monitoring the admissions process from inquiry to enrollment with an emphasis on the end-to-end student experience and metrics including marketing, recruitment, admissions, engagement, and retention. The Director of Community Outreach and Marketing reports to the Principal and is a member of the Leadership team, working closely with the Principal, Director of Advancement, Business Manager and the Coordinator of Admissions. This position is expected to know and model the school’s mission and participate attending co-curricular activities; faculty and staff meetings; student assemblies; liturgical services; institutional advancement events; parent gatherings; and graduation ceremonies.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities:
• Assist the Principal in developing and maintaining liaison relationships with parishes, pastors, principals, teachers and parent groups of Catholic schools and other private and public schools
• Engage and inform prospective parents and students about Bishop Montgomery High School and the benefits of a Catholic education on an individual, small, and large group basis.
• Collaborate with the Admissions Coordinator, throughout the admission process.
• Collaborate with the Admissions Coordinator to manage and oversee all admission related documents and dissemination of materials to prospective parents and students.
• Collaborate with appropriate personnel in order to coordinate the planning and implementation of marketing events. Attend all priority community marketing events and advertised activities.
• Inspire the community to actively participate in admissions events including but not limited to open house, BMHS evenings, student shadow visits, academic competitions, and camps
• Create all communications with prospective students and families including recruitment presentations, marketing materials and advertisements
• Communicate and provide information regarding the admissions procedures for all prospective students and their families
• Supervise recruitment visits and awards presentations at elementary schools
• Develop a community of parent, alumni and faculty ambassadors to support recruitment efforts
• Collaborate with financial assistance team
• Manage parent and student expectations and deliver admissions decisions in a manner that is honest, caring, and diplomatic
• Organize and communicate the registration process for new students
• Perform intake interviews of new and prospective students when appropriate
• Manage and maintain student recruitment database software and provide monthly dashboards/progress on application and admission requirements.
• Manage Marketing Budget
• Maintain a high degree of confidentiality
• Maintain and report on annual demographic information and market trends for purposes of managing and increasing enrollment and retention rates
• Provide regular reporting to the Principal and other key stakeholders
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Education, Educational Administration, or related area, and at least 2 years’ experience in school admissions, Catholic secondary education, recruitment, marketing or sales.
