Description
Good Shepherd (Beverly Hills) is seeking a part-time (20 hours weekly) aPre-K aid available immediately. GSBH provides an education based on Catholic values and academic excellence, in a caring and safe environment.
The ideal candidate will assist the Pre-K director and teacher in their classroom and will provide support with curriculum, and supervision. The candidate will also work collaboratively with administration and support the school as needed.
The candidate will communicate with parents, and students. In addition, the candidate must be willing to support the teachings of the Catholic Church.
Requirements
The instructional aid’s duties include assisting the classroom teacher, leading classroom activities, supervision of students, monitoring recesses and may be asked to substitute in a classroom or yard supervision on occasion.
• Knowledge of Catholic faith
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff
• Demonstrates responsibility, professionalism and is reliable and flexible
• Self-motivated, creative, and able to undertake projects under own direction.
• Effective communication skills (oral and written)
• Show enthusiasm for working with children
• A High School diploma
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Early childhood Education units (minimum of 8)
• Additional requirements: Virtus Certified; Live Scan through ADLA & CPR Certification (will assist the candidate)

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
