Crespi Carmelite High School seeks a fulltime high school teacher to join the faculty for the 2023-2024 school year.
This teaching position is for a freshman seminar class which will be a requirement for all freshmen. The course curriculum will include introductory level Computer Science, Health, Study Skills, and other high school level content.
Crespi’s mission is to build men of character and faith unified in brotherhood and formed through a contemporary, Catholic, college preparatory education in the Carmelite tradition of prayer, community and service.
In the spirit of the Gospel and the Carmelite tradition, we seek to build a community that listens and bears witness to the divine plan through the promotion of justice in the service of the whole person.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a wide range of skills and knowledge as well as enthusiasm for working with ninth graders.
Undergraduate degree required;
Teaching credential preferred;
Teaching experience preferred;
Proficiency in the use of technology as it relates to daily school operations, instruction, and communication.
Duties: Support and seek always to fulfill the guiding Catholic mission of the school, ministering to school community members in the tradition of the Carmelites. Create, manage, and offer a variety of learning experiences that provide opportunities for students to develop their potential and achieve their learning objectives. Apply research-based practices to establish a boy-friendly learning environment that is inclusive of multiple intelligences. Participate collaboratively and professionally with other faculty and staff to promote the general well-being of the department and the school as well as the collective and individual interest of school faculty, staff, and student body.

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
