Description
St. Bonaventure High School is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic math teacher to join our math department for the 2025-2026 school year. Candidates should be engaging teachers who are willing to work both independently and collaboratively and have experience conducting differentiated instruction. This is a full time position for upper-level math courses, potentially including Algebra 2 and Precalculus. Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics or a related field. Preference will be given to applicants with experience teaching high school mathematics, with a current teaching credential and/or Masters Degree.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Plan, conduct and reflect upon differentiated lessons that address appropriate standards
- Develop and follow a curriculum map/pacing guide for each course
- Attend faculty, department and grade-level meetings
- Collaborate with colleagues
- Attend conferences and engage with professional development
- Conduct oneself professionally
Qualifications:
- B.A. or B.S. in Mathematics (or related field)
- Excellent classroom management
- Strong collaboration, communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to implement classroom technology, including 1-to-1 instruction
- Teaching experience in mathematics preferred
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
