Description
Bishop Mora Salesian High School seeks a dedicated math and/or science instructor to join our Salesian Family. The position may include geometry, Algebra II, biology, chemistry, physics, and/or anatomy classes depending upon the applicant’s subject area knowledge and teaching interests.
Our mission calls upon our faculty/staff to “love, teach, and inspire” the young men entrusted to our care in a manner consistent with the Salesian approach of “reason, religion, and kindness.”
Classroom teachers are the foundation of our school. You will work closely with colleagues to develop and deliver rigorous curriculum that prepares our students for their next academic and life challenges.
Requirements
*Math/science subject area bachelor’s degree
*Subject area master’s degree or teaching credential or willingness to complete degree/credential program within next five years
*Prior high school teaching experience preferred
*Willingness to learn and implement an instructional approach that is consistent with the Salesian Oratory Model of “Home, school, church, and playground.”

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
