Paraclete High School was founded in 1963 to provide the growing Antelope Valley region of Southern California with an opportunity for Catholic secondary education. Paraclete is accredited by the Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA) and is co-accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
Paraclete High School, as a Catholic school of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, participates in the wider mission of the Church through the proclamation of Christ in the light of Scriptures and Catholic tradition within its academic, athletic, and social justice programs. Paraclete provides academic excellence and develops young people who are committed to living their faith and to making positive contributions to society.
We seek an experienced English Teacher who is a passionate educator and open to collaborating on departmental and interdisciplinary levels. This is a full-time position for the 2022-23 school year. The instructor may teach multiple levels of English, ranging from English I to English IV, as well as electives. A key component of the English curriculum is the Jane Shaffer writing method. Proficiency in the use of technology as it relates to daily school operations, instruction, and communication is vital.
Requirements
Qualifications: Undergraduate degree required; teaching credential preferred; teaching experience preferred.
