Description
Ramona Convent is seeking a committed individual for the Varsity Volleyball Coach Position for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. Volleyball season runs from August-October.
Requirements
Candidates must:
- Demonstrate strong communication skills
- Have knowledge of Volleyball fundamentals
- Have competed at the high school and/or college.
- Have prior coaching experience at the elementary or high school level is a plus.
- The individual would work to build the Volleyball program this 2025 season in the hopes that this candidate will also lead our upcoming Summer Volleyball camp.
- Develop and implement effective training programs to improve individual and team skills.
- Plan, organize, and conduct daily practices and team sessions.
- Provide leadership and direction during games, ensuring proper strategy and team coordination.
- Monitor and evaluate player progress and development, providing feedback and guidance.
- Maintain team discipline, ensuring players adhere to team rules, school policies, and the athletic code of conduct.
- Manage communication with parents, school officials, and the athletic department regarding team activities, goals, and progress.
- Ensure proper care and maintenance of volleyball equipment, uniforms, and facilities.
- Maintain knowledge of and adherence to all league, district, and school policies, rules, and regulations.
- Promote team spirit, good sportsmanship, and the values of teamwork, leadership, and respect.
- Attend meetings and conferences related to the volleyball program as required.
- Support the recruitment of prospective student-athletes for the program.
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
