Description

ABVM is a Catholic elementary school serving Grades TK-8. The teacher will create a learning environment and a classroom culture that is welcoming for all students to feel accepted, appreciated, and safe.The fifth grade class is self-contained and the teacher is responsible for teaching reading, language arts, science, social studies, and Religion. The teacher develops curriculum and lesson plans aligned with the California and Diocesan standards and is required to create a differentiated learning environment who will provide extra resources, support, and interventions for students who are struggling. The teacher will ensure all grading of student work is completed fairly, regularly, and grades are updated on a weekly basis. All administrative tasks and adjunct duties are completed on time. The teacher is expected to participate in school activities and regularly communicate with parents on the progress of their children.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in education or related field
Teaching Credential
2-5 years experience working with elementary school students
CPR and First Aide Certified
TB updated
Good communication and organizational skills
Teamplayer
Continued growth in professional development

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
