Notre Dame Academy High School in West Los Angeles is seeking a qualified full-time English teacher to serve as a long-term leave replacement from late October through the end of February. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success teaching AP or college preparatory English classes. The regular teacher will leave behind detailed curriculum plans for this qualified long-term replacement to follow. Courses include AP English Language, Honors Introduction to Composition and Literature, and Introduction to Composition and Literature.
Notre Dame Academy seeks an innovative, collaborative, and experienced English teacher who can fulfill the 21st century learning environment goals of Notre Dame Academy by planning, guiding, and evaluating the learning process of students within the framework of the school’s philosophy, organization, and curriculum. Our English courses focus on classic and contemporary literature, nonfiction reading selections, critical thinking and analysis, and thesis-based composition. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in English and successful high school teaching experience. This individual must be innovative, dynamic, energetic, organized, flexible, and hard working, and he or she must embody a growth mindset.
