Description

Our Lady of the Assumption School, Claremont is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual who is dedicated to Catholic education, to join our community of teachers, parents and students in grades Junior Kindergarten – 8th grade. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to sustaining and supporting a strong and effective Catholic education. The vice principal will have particular responsibility for academic instruction and learning including the use of STAR data as well as Canvas and other platforms for monitoring and reporting student progress. The vice principal will take a lead role in the use of FACTS Student Information System, including all student/family information and communications. The participation in activities that enhance school/community relations, marketing and promoting of the school, publicizing school events and activities, and supporting an active plan to increase school enrollment is necessary. The vice principal will work closely with various committees, including Parent Faculty Association and WCEA/WASC, supporting the accreditation process for school improvement. In addition applicants must:

  • Be a practicing Catholic with a deep commitment to service
  • Be able to collaborate with faculty, parents, and the community to meet the needs of the community we serve.
  • Demonstrate excellent computer skills, and be familiar with Canvas, Google Suite, MS Word, MS Excel, etc..

Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements:

  •  A Bachelor’s Degree, elementary teaching credential and/or Educational Leadership/Administration credential. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in teaching and/or leadership
  • Excellent communication in English (bi-lingual with Spanish preferred)

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
