Description

St. Joseph the Worker seeks enthusiastic, creative, collaborative teachers to join the elementary division, in the first and third grades.
The ideal candidate will both teach and model Gospel values, see each child as a unique individual made in God’s image, and work with faculty, parents, and the principal in a spirit of collaboration and mutual respect. The classroom environment should be a “safe space” for individual growth, that also promotes “learning with others.”
We value cross-curricular education for our students, professional development for our teachers, and the participation of our parents in the everyday life of the school.

Requirements

–With the guidance of the Principal and Leadership team, the teachers will develop and implement a rigorous curriculum, utilitizing a variety of strategies and methodologies, and assessments.
–Research and develop creative, engaging, and fun activities to create a well rounded learning experience.
–Submit thoughtful, thorough lesson plans in a timely manner.
–Maintain student records and respect confidentiality.
–Collaborate with colleagues.
–Regularly Communicate with the Principal and parents.
–Candidates must be practicing Catholics who will participate in the faith life of the students and the school.
–Bachelor’s Degree Required.
–2 Years experience ideal, but recent graduates or returning teachers are welcome!
–CA Multiple Subject or Single Subject Credential/willing to work toward.
–Masters Degree Highly Valued.
