Job Overview: The Dean of Faith Formation will
oversee the religion programs of all grade levels;
Introduce tenets of Catholic Social Teaching at all levels;
Develop and maintain a robust social justice program, including but not limited to age-appropriate service learning projects;
plan and deliver retreats and other opportunities of faith formation for faculty and staff;
offer opportunities for faith formation for school parents
coordinate with members of the church staff for sacramental preparation, primarily First Reconciliation and First Communion for the 2nd grade, and Confirmation for the 9th and 10th grade;
Collaborate with parish priests and other vowed religious in preparing and delivering faith-based content;
plan and assist with the delivery of school liturgies;
oversee student lector, acolyte, and Eucharistic Minister programs;
Committed to building an inclusive faith community;
Passion for working with and being around young children and teens;
Ability to prepare liturgies and prayer services, and lead retreats for all age levels;
Ability to manage in a stressful, ever-changing environment;
Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with a variety of constituencies;
Ability to develop a long-range plan for faith formation, and then the ability to manage to that plan;
Ability to work collaboratively with school and church leadership;
Willingness to continue professional development;
Willingness to innovate;
Ability to prepare and manage to a budget.

Bachelor’s degree with advanced work in theology or pastoral formation (Master’s degree preferred);
Prior experience working in a Catholic community, preferably including Catholic schools;
Extensive experience in leading retreats, preparing liturgies, and faith formation for a variety of age groups;
Good team player.
