St. Monica High School, a parish, coeducational, college preparatory high school in Santa Monica, California, is seeking a part-time S.T.E.M. teacher for the 2021 – 2022 school year. Responsibilities include teaching two Conceptual Physics courses to the 9th-grade students and participating in co-curricular activities. Opportunities to integrate interdisciplinary projects and research are woven throughout the curriculum.
The ideal candidate will:

Exhibit a passion for content knowledge and a range of pedagogical approaches while teaching students within an in-person, blended learning environment.
Create an environment in the classroom and in all areas of co-curricular responsibility that nurtures the development of the whole student.
Engage students in meaningful learning experiences to foster an appreciation for math and its application in everyday life.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop an integrated and meaningful curriculum and student learning experiences.
Serve as a grade-level advisor who is committed to the social and emotional development of students.
A bachelor’s degree in mathematics or science is necessary; a master’s degree is preferred. Candidates should have at least three years of experience teaching in a student-centered classroom, integrating technology in the student learning experience that enhances student experiences and growth. Prior experience developing and facilitating online learning lessons is a plus.
