Description
Saint Benedict School is searching for an enthusiastic full-time, experienced (3 to 5 years minimum) Computer Teacher/Tech Support to promote computer literacy and computer science among our students (Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade). You will be required to craft and present lessons, develop teaching material, and address parental concerns regarding school use technology. Classes will be taught three days of the week with other days to lesson plan, update grades, handle tech support and supervise students when needed. The preceding must be addressed along with maintenance and promotion of Catholic values.
Requirements
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline, prior experience as a Computer Teacher (including coding, programming, and robotics desirable), excellent presentation skills and strong and positive classroom management skills, Bilingual (Spanish/English-desirable), strong adaptable approach to instructing.
Special Requirements: Ample knowledge on Apple Systems including iPads, MacBook, iOS, MacOS, strong knowledge on Google Suite for Education (administration console and remote assistance, meetings, etc.), great foundation on networks, telecommunication and security, experience Chromebooks and Chrome OS, prior experience with Linux systems is a plus, experience with 3D printing.
