JOB SUMMARY:
Louisville High School in Woodland Hills is an exemplary, all-girls Catholic high school where young women are encouraged to strive for academic excellence and to grow in confidence, integrity and faith. Louisville is currently seeking a full-time Communications and Marketing Manager who has expertise in messaging and brand management across all platforms, preferably in a school environment. This position falls within the Advancement Office. This office is a highly collaborative environment where all team members must be able to work independently but also support each other when necessary. We are seeking a highly competent, efficient individual with strong people skills and a collaborative spirit. All candidates must show initiative and a desire to constantly learn and improve.

MAJOR PROJECTS:
Recruitment Marketing
• Works with the Director of Admissions and the Director of Advancement to develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment-marketing plan based on quantitative goals and timelines.
• Is responsible for the execution of this plan including media buying, creative development, messaging points, delivery of materials and analytics where available. Must be able to maintain the integrity of the Louisville brand in all marketing.
o Media vehicles may include print, outdoor, video, on-site, collateral, email and digital
o Audience includes prospective students 4th through 8th grade and their parents as well as an influencer audience
Social Media
• Manages all content on social media platforms to keep our community apprised of events and activities to build awareness and desirability for Louisville. Coordinates messaging with athletics to ensure timely release of information and consistency with the brand.
Website
• Manages all content for Louisville’s website and coordinates with the Director of Educational Technology for consistent messaging on the internal database. As this is a prospective family’s primary source of information, the objective is to keep information relevant, timely and engaging and in keeping with the Louisville brand.
School Communication and PR
• Reviews and manages all school communication to parents and the broader Louisville community to ensure consistency of message and voice as well as quality and efficiency of delivery.
• Monitors and maintains brand standards for the school. Ensures all representations of the brand evoke the desired values and connection with Louisville.
• Regularly writes and distributes press releases and builds relationships with contacts in order to share newsworthy events and accomplishments to keep Louisville top-of-mind in our community. Markets press coverage to our constituents and prospects.
• Assists with crisis communications and media strategy as necessary.
Publications
• Responsible for the writing and production of one magazine per year. Coordinates with faculty and staff to develop the content; graphic designer for layout; and the Advancement Team for alumnae news and mailing.
• Produces one annual report per year that highlights fundraising efforts, donor news and impact of giving. Coordinates with Advancement Team to prepare donor lists, editorial content and mailing.
• Collaborates with the Advancement Team on the publishing of a monthly newsletter to the alumnae and parent of alumnae audience.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, or other related field.
• Five or more years of professional marketing and/or communication experience, preferably in an educational setting, with a demonstrated record of accomplishment of success.
• Expertise in the use of social media platforms is required as well as demonstrated mastery of new and emerging communications tools.
• Excellent organizational and follow-through skills with the ability to manage multiple complex projects and work independently.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with experience and expertise in copywriting.
• Demonstrated collaborative skills with the ability to work with all levels of administration, faculty, staff, parents and students.
• Videography skills and knowledge of video software editing is a plus.
• Efficacy of online lead generation efforts for enrollment management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Enthusiastic, creative and positive can-do attitude.
• Ability to maintain composure and timelines under pressure while executing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Demonstrated use of good judgment when dealing with confidential information.
• Able to lift heavy objects (up to 25 lbs.) in preparation for events.
