The Archdiocese of Los Angeles proudly serves three counties in the Greater Los Angeles Region; Los Angeles County, Santa Barbara County and Ventura County. The Catholic tradition of education in the United States can be traced back into the 1600’s. The Archdiocese of Los Angeles is proud to have begun its Catholic schools program by the 1850’s. Our dedication to education is over 150 years old and we continue to educate and support our communities throughout the regions we represent. With over 200 elementary schools and 50 high schools in the Archdiocese, there is a Catholic school in your area waiting for you to join their collaborative faith-filled team.
The Archdiocese seeks teachers who believe that every student is a unique child of God; our students can and do achieve beyond expectations. Candidates are knowledgeable in subject matter and effective instructional methods and continuously seek to develop themselves as professionals. Candidates teach with enthusiasm, which inspires a curiosity in students and encourages learning. Candidates work collaboratively with colleagues and administration to ensure an authentic Catholic culture where all students are welcomed and are held to high standards.
We recruit prospective full-time, part-time and substitute teachers for the Catholic Schools of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles who have a Bachelor’s degree in education or a field related to the subject they hope to teach. The degree must be from an accredited college or university. Preference is given to: Practicing Roman Catholics; Candidates with California teaching credential; and those with a Master’s degree in education or their chosen field.
