Bilingual Receptionist/Ministry Assistant (Full or Part-Time) $16.00 to $19.00 (Full-Time OR Part-Time Available)

• Greet and receive parishioners and visitors at the parish office, in a welcoming and friendly manner
• Responds to inquiries on a wide variety of topics, both on the telephone and in person
• Answers the telephone in a professional and courteous manner, relays telephone messages promptly and accurately, transfers telephone calls appropriately
• Assists in setting up and confirming appointments between clergy and visitors
• Schedules mass intentions, completing appropriate paperwork
• Maintains requests for issuance of room keys to ministry leaders and checks the calendar to ensure the room key is given to an authorized person
• Ease of fluency for verbal and written translation between English and Spanish
• Performs other office duties such as filing, copying, collating, sorting mail, handling donations/payments etc. as necessary
• Engages in and supports the parish mission of embracing God’s people, equipping disciples, and accompanying believers.
• Assists with special projects as requested by Supervisor
• Performs other general reception and clerical duties as assigned


• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Bilingual – strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish languages including correct grammar, spelling and clarity
• Two years of experience as office assistant/receptionist
• Courteous, friendly, and professional manner with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrates confidentiality, tact, patience, and diplomacy with ability to handle sensitive calls and situations and refer them appropriately
• Proficient with Microsoft Office & Google Workspace Apps
• Knowledge of Catholic faith, rituals, and traditions
• Detail-oriented, with the ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines, work harmoniously and cooperatively with other staff

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
