Description

La Reina is a Catholic, college preparatory high school and middle school, sponsored by the Sisters of Notre Dame. Our mission is to educate young women in a nurturing environment of educational excellence and to help young women develop into moral and self-confident leaders who work for the transformation of individuals and society.

La Reina is currently seeking an AP/HS/MS Biology teacher for the 2023-2024 academic year. The experienced teacher will use inquiry-based labs to enhance student involvement and to maximize learning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Biology with the ability to utilize technology in their teaching strategies. The teacher should be able to provide differentiated activities and employ a variety of instructional strategies including visual, audio, and tactile lessons in order to actively engage students in their learning.

Requirements

La Reina seeks a teacher who is collaborative with colleagues and students, and has experience with innovative teaching strategies. This position requires: experience teaching in a high-school and middle-school environment, a Bachelor’s degree in Biology (Masters a plus), experience with using instructional technology, good classroom management skills, and a willingness to attend an AP seminar during the summer.
