Notre Dame Academy High School in West Los Angeles is seeking a highly qualified full-time teacher of AP Computer Science Principles and Disruptive Innovation for the 2023-2024 school year. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success teaching AP Computer Science Principles or related subjects and an innovation mindset.

NDA seeks a creative teacher with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field, successful high school teaching experience, and an interest in developing compelling curriculum content for high school students. He or she should be able to work both collaboratively and independently, inheriting an outstanding curriculum for Disruptive Innovation that can be adapted and expanded in new directions, and an understanding of technology, business development, and entrepreneurship would be valuable. This individual must be innovative, dynamic, energetic, organized, flexible, and hard working, modeling for students a growth mindset. A commitment to design thinking, creativity, and problem solving is essential for success in this role.

Requirements

• Successful record of high school computer science teaching experience
• AP Computer Science teaching experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in a computer science or a related field, Master’s desired
• Comfort teaching in a Catholic education setting
• California teaching credential preferred
• Commitment to an inclusive and equitable working and learning environment

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
