Description
Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary School is a Catholic elementary school who fosters its scholars to be critical thinkers, academic achievers, responsible citizens, and effective communicators who serve. ABVM School is currently seeking an individual to serve as Admissions and Office Coordinator for the 2024-2025 school year. This position will play a critical role in supporting the school’s enrollment initiatives, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders and alumni, and overseeing admissions by providing tours and processing applications and transcripts. The ideal candidate will promote our school’s mission to prepare students to achieve their greatest potential in a nurturing and Christ-centered community.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Carry out day recruitment efforts promoting ABVM through campus tours, presentations and events on campus, in the community, and school fairs
- Oversee admissions data collection, management and reporting, including Registrar
- Manage application process (inquiries, applicants, enrollments, etc.)
- Responsible for organizing applicant interview schedule and assessment schedule
- Assist with the planning and coordinating for open house, information sessions, campus tours, student visits/shadow days
- Interview families applying to ABVM School
- Read and evaluate admissions applications and materials
- Develop, cultivate and manage relationships with local schools and community partners
- Work with Student and Parent Admissions Ambassador volunteers
- Possibility of evening and weekend work, along with travel to local feeder schools
- There will be other office duties and responsibilities as assigned during the day
- Other duties as assigned by the Principal

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications / Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- 3-5 years of experience working directly with students and/or parents
- Patience, commitment to hard work, an active sense of community
- Proven ability to work in a professional environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and logistics
- Experienced with data collection and analysis
- Candidates who are bilingual or multilingual are strongly encouraged to apply
- Relevant work experience, preferably in admissions

Wage Range: $20.00 – $28.00 per hour; Compensation commensurate with level of experience, relevant professional certifications, and/or degrees earned.
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
