Position/Title: Admissions and Advancement Associate
Appointment: School Year 2021-2022
Reports To: Director of Admission and Director of Institutional Advancement
Under the supervision of the Director of Admission and Director of Institutional Advancement, the Admissions and Advancement Associate plays a critical role in supporting Bishop Diego. They maintain the admissions portal and development database, engage regularly with multiple constituents, and provide support for both offices. This person handles confidential information, utilizes data to help inform decisions, and leads special projects. They have a strong rapport with students, parents, alumni, donors, and staff alike. They also have a deep appreciation for the Catholic faith and a commitment to the teachings of the Church.
o Assist in the school’s marketing and communications efforts
o Monitor and update social media presence as requested
o Maintain photo archives
o Prepare and send internal and external communications
o Personal engagement with members of the Bishop Diego Community
o Tracking and maintenance of inventory (promotional items, admission supplies, development supplies, etc.)
o Coordination of mailings
o Donor letters: Preparation of acknowledgment letters
o Maintain accurate gift records for The Fund for Bishop Diego, donations, pledges, matching gifts, and all other giving campaigns that funnel through the Advancement Office
o Support Admissions and Advancement event planning
o Coordinate and manage alumni media and events
o Assist with recruitment and re-enrollment activities, as needed
o Other general administrative responsibilities in support of the Principal, President, and Directors of Admission and Institutional Advancement.
Preferred candidates will have:
o A Bachelor’s degree is required
o One to three years’ experience in school admissions and/or fundraising/marketing efforts
o Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communications skills
o A high level of initiative, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
o The ability to manage multiple projects on deadline
o Direct experience with School Admin, Blackbaud/Raiser’s Edge software, Microsoft Office & Excel, events management, social media, and digital communications.
