Under the supervision of the Director of Admission and the Principal, the Admissions and Advancement Associate plays a critical role in supporting St. Bernard High School. They assist in maintaining the admissions and development databases, engage regularly with multiple constituents, and provide support for both offices. This person handles confidential information, utilizes data to help inform decisions, and leads special projects. They have a strong rapport with students, parents, alumni, donors, and staff alike. They also have a deep appreciation for the Catholic faith and a commitment to the teachings of the Church.
Assist in the school’s marketing and communications efforts
Assist in planning, implementation, and execution of communications to various constituents, including parents/guardians, alumni, Board of Trustees, students, faculty/staff, and prospective families.
Partner with instructional teams and departments to develop and/or edit content for print and digital publications.
Monitor and update social media presence as requested
Manage St. Bernard High Schools’ social media presence, including content development.
Partner with classroom teachers and, where appropriate, students, to showcase St. Bernard High Schools’ program, faculty & student work to internal and external constituents.
Develop an annual social media plan to promote St. Bernard High School and align it with the school events and calendars.
Maintain photo archives
Personal engagement with members of the St. Bernard Community
Tracking and maintenance of inventory (promotional items, admission supplies, development supplies, etc.)
Support Admissions and Advancement event planning and execution
Coordinate and manage alumni media and events
Assist with recruitment and re-enrollment activities, as needed
Lead school tours
Other general administrative responsibilities in support of the Principal, and Director of Admission.
Preferred candidates will have:
A Bachelor’s degree is required
One to three years experience in school admissions and/or fundraising/marketing efforts
Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communications skills
A high level of initiative, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
The ability to manage multiple projects on a deadline
Direct experience with School Admin, Aeries, Canva, Google, Edilio, Microsoft Office & Excel, events management, social media, and digital communications.
