St. Bernard High School is considering applications for a Part-Time Administrative Assistant for the 2022/2023 academic school year. The Administrative Assistant’s duties and responsibilities include providing administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the office. Supports the Principal, Assistant Principals, and staff. Must possess strong communication and organizational skills. Responsible for confidential and time-sensitive material. Ability to effectively communicate via phone and email, ensuring that Administrative Assistant duties are completed accurately and delivered with high quality and in a timely manner. Reports directly to the principal and office manager.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Google Forms Knowledge
Ability to learn a variety of computer programs

Decision-making: Administrative Assistants may have to make independent decisions on a daily basis, addressing the best way to handle specific tasks.

Communication and collaboration: An Administrative Assistant must collaborate with other administrators and support personnel, management and parents on a regular basis.

• Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and complete them by due dates
• Ability to effectively communicate in oral and written form
• Must demonstrate sensitivity towards students from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds
• Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with teenagers and their parents
• Ability to maintain files accurately, on paper and in software programs (aeries, canvas, google classroom)
Spelling, punctuation, sentence structure, and writing are essential to an Administrative Assistant, who must be proficient in a variety of styles, from creative to professional to technical to education and more.
