Description
Sacred Heart High School is seeking a full-time academic and college counselor for the 2023-2024 school year. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in Spanish and will have several years of successful high school academic and college counseling experience. The academic and college counselor serves as a member of the guidance team to support students’ academic achievement, assist them in their personal development, and establish effective pathways to best fit colleges and universities. Working with the faculty, administration, students, and parents, the counselor will have primary responsibility for guiding and mentoring students in grades 9 through 12 in their academic, college, and career pursuits.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in school counseling
- Two or more years of high school counseling experience
- Strong technology skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Bilingual in Spanish, preferred
- Commitment to an inclusive and equitable working and learning environment

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
