St. Dominic Savio School, a Salesian school, is seeking an experienced, innovative and enthusiastic Middle School Religion and Social Studies educator for grades 6-8 willing to work collaboratively with a highly qualified professional learning community in a supportive school environment. In addition to Religion and Social Studies classes, the educator will be the 6th grade homeroom teacher.
Responsibilities include designing and implementing ADLA and CA standard-based lessons, utilizing formative and summative assessments to drive instruction and support students, experience in differentiating instruction, strong communication with parents, strong classroom management skills, able to integrate technology in daily instructions, and contain a desire to work in a faith-based community.
Practicing Catholic and knowledge of the teachings of the Catholic Church
Have excellent communication, collaboration, and organization skills
Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in education or education-related field (MA preferred)
CA teaching credential or enrolled in a CA teaching credential program (Single or Multiple Subject)
Three or more years of teaching experience
Technology skills (familiarity with iPads and Google Classroom) and ability to integrate technology into instruction
