Description
Our Lady of Peace School in North Hills has an unexpected, immediate opening for a dynamic 5th grade teacher who has a teacher credential and/or an M.Ed. The candidate must be highly competent in designing lessons based upon state standards, best instructional practices and assessing students for growth. There are 12 incredible kids in the class, all of whom are highly motivated and very respectful. The ideal candidate has at least a few years experience, is a genuine team player and loves working in a diverse community of students and staff. This is a great position for the right person, and our staff team is very supportive. Being Catholic and speaking Spanish is a plus. Requirements
Teacher Credential and/or M. Ed
Minimum of 1-2 years experience
Competent in digital education software
Has a strong command of designing and differentiating lessons based on state standards
Is reliable and a genuine team player with colleagues an principal
Has a dynamic energy and is a “warm demander”
Able to connect with students and parents and provide challenging work in preparation for middle school.
Being a practicing Catholic is preferred
Spanish speaker is a plus
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
