Description
We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, 5th Grade Teacher to join our school community. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about teaching and comfortable working in a self-contained classroom environment. The teacher will be responsible for delivering lessons across all core subjects, including Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, Science, and Religion, fostering a positive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach and support students in Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, Science, and Religion, creating a well-rounded academic experience.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state standards and school curriculum.
- Provide differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring all students are engaged and supported.
- Assess student progress through formal and informal evaluations, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
- Manage the classroom effectively, creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and administration to ensure the success of the students.
- Integrate technology and other resources to enhance learning experiences.
- Participate in school activities, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.
- Provide guidance and support to students, fostering social and emotional growth alongside academic development.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education (or related field).
- Will be working towards or have completed a California teaching credential or out of state equivalent
- Experience in teaching 5th grade or similar age groups is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the subjects being taught (Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, Science, Religion).
- Ability to manage a self-contained classroom and adapt to different student needs.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- A passion for teaching and making a positive impact on students’ lives.
- Bilingual preferred

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
