Description
General
Our Lady of the Assumption School is looking for an experienced teacher to join us for the 2023-24 school year. First and foremost, candidates must support and give witness to the teachings of the Catholic faith through responsive and compassionate instruction, paying close attention to the implementation of our Religion standards, and our students’ social emotional learning. Candidates must be willing to form close partnerships with parents, supporting and encouraging them in their role as primary educators. Candidates must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be proficiency in the use and application of technology for instruction and learning. Candidates must be collaborative and willing to work with colleagues from TK-8, and work especially closely their grade level team in developing and maintaining the continuum of learning.

Requirements
- Catholic
- Catechetical Certification (or in process)
- VIRTUS Certification and Fingerprinting through ADLA required on hiring
- BA/BS degree
- CA Teaching Credential or equivalent
- Minimum two years’ experience working with elementary school age children
- MA/MS (preferred)
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
