The Church is a community of prayer. Liturgy is the official public prayer of the church and takes two forms: the Eucharistic Liturgy or Sunday Mass, within which most of our Sacraments take place, and the Liturgy of the Hours or Divine Office. In addition to the liturgy, each parish community maintains regular times of devotional prayer, or personal prayer choices. Personal prayer is a part of every Catholic person’s daily life and can be incorporated at home, at school at work. Every parish also makes available to the faithful opportunities for personal prayer to help enrich their spirit in preparation for the liturgy. These devotional prayer times of personal choice are Eucharistic Adoration, Catholic meditation, the Rosary, Divine Mercy, to name a few. The Office for Worship is available to assist you with the devotional prayer life of your parish.
