Media Nuns faith formation course goes virtual in 15th year

The Pauline Center for Media Studies will offer its annual certification course online this year.

The media nuns announced the change in plans for their 15th course, due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) and social distancing concerns. The week-long course, open to teachers, catechists, ministers, and parents, provides practical tools for critical engagement with media, and helps participants evaluate their digital lives against Gospel values.

“This one-of-a-kind course is the link for making faith lived in the daily lives of youth today,” said Sr. Nancy Usselmann, Director of the Pauline Center for Media Studies and Course Presenter. “So many people feel dichotomized in this digital world and can’t seem to find their spiritual footing. This course addresses that and offers them concrete ways to make that happen in their own lives and the lives of their students or those to whom they minister.”
